AIG Bleeding at $60 Bil USD Per Quarter, Small Enterprise Opportunity?
Could Small Enterprises, once dominated by venture capitalist, big banks and big brands, really have a chance to do something for the future?
AIG, by 2009 reports, bled more than $60 billion U.S. Dollars in the recent 2009 Quarter and now sells in the range of .50 cents USD.
Disclaimer! This blogger is not an economist, trader, broker or other specialist with the expertness from practicing in banking or stocks; however, this blogger’s opinion is gathered based on contextual observations of both past and present.
All-in-all, with the fight still on in the G8 as to who will absorb and how much will each member absorb of the more than $15 Trillion in “vapor” capital floating in markets, any opportunity may end up at zero!

So, I believe the U.S. Economy has added another pillar to its economic structure. This pillar is a clearinghouse for contributing the U.S. share of the absorption of nearly $9 Trillion USD thusfar. In supporting such a structure, the U.S.
Government instead has raised its own bonds outside the normal issuance of T-Bills by buying shares of industries and then insuring it through organizations like the Fed, FDIC and other Government entities and now it has added the private sector by capitalizing AIG.
In the old days of American citizen and small enterprise support of Economic or National Security strife, the Government would issue “shares” like “Liberty Bonds” and other vehicles for citizens and small enterprises to invest in.
As AIG continues to bleed, it now sells (March 2009) at about .50 cents USD per share?
In my opinion, small enterprise with nominal working capital may want to take a look at the new Liberty Bond of the Economic strife, a piece of AIG. From a practical perspective, this opinion may only be of value from a patriotic viewpoint or opinion, however, I can’t help admit that even if each home or small enterprise bought $100 USD of AIG everyone might lose it; but, would everyone really?
Take a look, capable small enterprise and citizens may find some value in a .50 USD stock purchase of what may be the new vehicle for Liberty Bonds in the U.S. – AIG. Just remember this is an Opinion blog not based on professional economic expertise but rather a historical and somewhat patriotic viewpoint.
